2008-2009 Star of the Month Update

Although John is no longer a Denver Bronco, the foundation feels as though it is still very important to continue to offer this opportunity to Denver's youth.

It's that time of the year for the annual Star of the Month program! Although John is no longer a Denver Bronco, the foundation feels as though it is still very important to continue to offer this opportunity to Denver's youth. This year, the Star of the Month program will be structured in a slightly different way. The foundation will be mailing the awards to the winners directly and will not be hosting monthly ceremonies. We will continue to host an end of year awards banquet in May where each winner will be recognized and will still have the opportunity to meet John.

The first deadline for nominations will be Friday, October 3rd and we will be emailing the nomination forms and score sheets to you shortly thereafter. All nominations can be emailed to Maggie Robinson, Director at Maggie@johnlynchfoundation.org.

Coach of the Month

The Coach of the Month recognizes youth coaches who make a profound impact in the lives of their athletes and are chosen based on:

• Coaching accomplishments

• Inspirational and motivational attributes

Youth coaches (18 and under) can be nominated by parents or athletes. Awards are presented October – April and nominations can be filled out each month by clicking on the link below. In May a Coach of the Year will be selected out of all of the monthly winners. The Coach of the Year award winner will be announced at the Salute the Stars awards luncheon.

Coaches of the Month will Receive

• $100 Sports Authority gift card

• Autographed John Lynch football

• Personalized jersey of their choice from Sports Authority

• Recognition on JLF website

• Recognition at Star of the Month program at Dove Valley

• Sports Authority Coach’s Kits and coupons

• Invitation to Salute the Starts event – May 2012

The Coach of the Year Will Receive

• $500 Sports Authority gift card

• $1,000 donation back to the coaches organization
