Lynch Family Legacy Scholarships

In 1998 John and Linda Lynch established the Lynch Family Legacy Scholarships to benefit student-athletes. Through the scholarship program, the Lynch family provides financial assistance for high school senior student-athletes in the Tampa Bay and Denver areas to apply towards tuition at the college of their choice.

Scholarship applicants are chosen based on their academic performance, athletic accomplishments and community involvement. They also must submit an essay and 3 letters of recommendation. Financial need is also considered. To date, more than $420,000 has been awarded to student-athletes through these scholarships.

Tampa Scholarships

To apply in the Tampa Bay area fill out an application through the Hillsborough Education Foundation or the Pinellas Education Foundation.

Denver Scholarships

Four $10,000 scholarships are presented to high school senior varsity student-athletes.  To apply in the Denver area download and complete the application form (2012 Lynch Legacy Scholarship Application.doc | 2012 Lynch Legacy Scholarship Application.pdf). Exceptional Star of the Year Award, Presented by the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation

Denver Area

Through a partnership with the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation, the JLF presents four awards worth $5,000 each to student-athletes who are physically challenged or who have Down syndrome. Applications are due on Friday, February 24th.  (Exceptional SOY App 2012.doc | Exceptional SOY App 2012.pdf)
