Beginning in 1996 John and Linda joined forces with fellow teammate Hardy Nickerson to throw an annual holiday party to benefit the neediest Boys & Girls Club members in the Tampa Bay area. They continued the tradition and brought the annual event to both the Denver and Northern California communities.

The John Lynch Foundation works closely with the Boys & Girls to identify children that would most benefit from a day of Christmas spirit and cheer. Each chaperone secures a Holiday wishlist from the children and provides it to the John Lynch Foundation, which then makes the wishes come true. The JLF also works with the Gary Sinise Foundation and T.A.P.S. to select military families who are in need of support and uplifting during the Holiday Season.

The guests enjoy a special holiday meal with the Lynch family and some sort of a memorable Holiday experience - a live theater performance, a practice visit, a trip to a special Christmas Village, etc… Santa makes a surprise visit bearing gifts for all of the children taken from their individual wish lists.
